Standing Firm

 The trials will come and we shouldn't be surprised when they do. Read 1Peter 4:12-19

When I was baptisted at 12 years of age, I didn't really know who God was. The teaching by my mom, the Pastor, and others were limited. But when I became a young woman, more seasoned people joined the church and began to enlighten me in Who God truly was. 

I rededicated myself to God and thought I was this invincible Christian that could not be touched by anyone or anything.  Sounds crazy huh? Well...it was crazy. 

When the first fiery trial hit I was so confused.(remember I said I was young and still wasn't taught enough)

God is saying that trials will come to test us no matter how strong our faith is. They removes all impurities so that we can be refined as pure gold. 

Although these trials can hurt, don't let them cause you to lose faith. They are necessary.
